Frequently Asked Questions
No. Oakstone Tax holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Accounting. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a highly recognized credential that requires 150 hours of college coursework, 1 year of experience under a current CPA, and a difficult four-part exam. CPAs can perform all services that an accountant can, in addition to performing audits. An accountant provides services such as tax preparation but cannot perform audits.
Each return will require different documents depending on your tax situation. The most common forms include W-2s, 1099 forms, and Profit & Loss Statements (for business owners).

Payment is due prior to submission of the return to the IRS. We will prepare your tax return and email you copies for your review and signature. At that time you will also receive an invoice via email. Once the invoice has been paid and your returns have been signed, they will be electronically submitted to the IRS.
It is best practice to keep all documents and receipts for at least 7 years, in case you are ever audited.
Since every return requires a different amount of time, we provide individual quotes so they are as accurate as possible — no surprises. Schedule a free consultation to get your estimate.
What our clients say.
"I've just started out doing what I love to do last year, and was having trouble figuring out how to do my taxes. They've answered all my questions and have done beyond just filing taxes since we've been in contact. With their knowledge, I am worry-free about how my taxes were filed, and will continue to trust Oakstone Tax for my business regarding anything accounting related. I would highly recommend Oakstone Tax! Exceptional, professional, and responsive."
"Oakstone Tax is amazing!! The team is so great to work with. I've always gone the larger corporate route when doing my taxes (Turbo Tax, H&R Block, etc.) and always felt like I was getting taken advantage of. Oakstone Tax not only saved me a lot on taxes, they also jumped on the phone with me to assist with one of my side hustles to give tax advice. They truly go above and beyond to ensure that their clients are not only happy but understand the tax language."
